Part of the celebration of 50 years of Rugby Union at Wesley is to raise Rs 1,000,000 in a Special Rugby Fund. Towards that goal once the bank details etc, are known, the funds can be remitted to Sri Lanka where the Principal and a Team of Old Boys will administer the funds.
To aod with this effort, I have obtained from the Australian Rugby Union(ARU) an authentic signed Wallaby jersey. It also has a certificate of authenticity endorsed by the ARU. It would be worth about AUD1,500 to AUD2,000 at a charity auction in Australia or even more depending on the cause.
This jersey will make its way to Sri Lanka to be auctioned and the proceeds to the Rugby Fund.
