Welcome to the OBU(UK) website

I am certain the photograph above rekindles happy memories of years gone by. This website provides information about the Old Boys Union in the UK. Our aim is to unite all Wesleyites and help Wesley College Colombo to remain as one of the best educational institutions in the country.  The OBU(UK) maintains strong links with Wesley and its Principal. Over many years the OBU(UK) has contributed much to the welfare of the school. We have an interesting calendar of events. It is a forum to meet and greet old friends and teachers. Please take part in our many activities and make a difference. There are formal and informal meetings and gatherings of the Union for which all are welcome. We are grateful to those old boys who started the UK Branch. Their efforts have been incorporated into the folklore of the OBU-UK. We also thank those who were office bearers and helped the Union over the years despite the pressures of work and study in a foreign land. We remember the many old boys who have over the years donated most generously their time and money for the OBU and Wesley. They have done us proud and upheld the rich traditions of our Alma Mater. We will never forget the old boys who have played their part and have since departed this world. As to our website - creating, updating and hosting has been a pleasure. The website is only as good as its contributors. I must thank all the old boys and in particular Azahim Mohammed for the support and encouragement as it evolved and saw the light of day in the World Wide Web circa 1997. The rest is our treasured history.

Baylis House

The Committee of the Wesley College OBU-UK would like to thank all those who helped to make the Double Blue Ball 2008 a great success. We also thank our Old Boys and their friends who supported this event.  We are grateful to Mr.Faleel and the staff of Baylis House for their cooperation. A great big thank you to the Band for providing such fine music  throughout the night.
