                                                  Our Hero

" He is the master at Wesley of whom I carry the fondest memories and whom I hold in the greatest respect. And this ,
without him ever teaching me in a classroom environment.  The reason .....he did his best for us during our junior cricket
days , treated us with respect and love ( putha was the word he used to address all of us by ) , dedicated himself a
hundred per cent to the task at hand , and taught us discipline and integrity !!! I carry this with me even today.
"
                                                                                           - Sridhar Kanakasabapathy  ( cricketer 1976 - 1982)

" He was one of the kindest teachers I have ever met.“  -   Dilu De Alwis USA Cricket Captain - 1976

"  As small kids we wanted to walk behind this teacher. But he did not let us walk behind him, he walked with us.
....We Sri Lankan are sometimes reluctant to use the words "champion" and "great". But no matter how strictly one uses
those two words, they are appropriate to describe the unique human being whose achievements we celebrate this evening."
