On behalf of old boys, present boys and parents a big thank you to Jeremy Brohier & Ivo Maharoof - joint presidents for this project for doing a wonderful job under budget on time and with lot of passion, and other individuals who contributed towards this project.

Because of you our school boys have a modern Gym to use from now on..

Dear friends,

I am sharing these photographs of the opening of the Wesley gymnasium.  The entire project including the infrastructure refurbishment and equipment cost us Rs1.3m which was funded entirely by the OWSC. These funds were raised from the musical show and was well controlled well within the budget.

My thanks to all sponsors and donors from here and abroad. My sincere thanks to Old Wesleyites' William Deutrom for his generous contribution from Australia, Ivor Maharoof for bringing his Company Metropolitan Group of Companies as the principle sponsor, Gerard Fernando, Leel Dassanayake, Mahendran, Lasantha Fernando, Capt Navin De Silva, Murard , Renganathan all who sponsored Rs25,000/- and above, Rohan Perera for giving us the use of his office and staff and helping us in advertising and Kadir Ishak who got us a waiver of entertainment tax from the government. Big thank you to the treasurer Sudath Kannangara. My sincere thanks to every Wesleyite who contributed even in their small way towards the success of this project. Thanks to OWSC President  Parakrama Wijemanne for his guidance.  

Now we need a heavy duty treadmill, stepper and rowing machine. These items are very expensive brand new. If we could find some one to help us by sponsoring at least recondition equipment it would help us complete the project.
